This is a guide designed to help academics create and publish lists in Reading Lists Online

Adding Videos and Websites to your reading lists

The page looks at how you can add media from shuplayer, youtube and general websites onto your reading list.  The editing functions can be accessed by switching to the old version of the RLO by using the BETA button.

Video Online

  • Find the item via Library Search and click on the title to display the full record
  • Click Bookmark to RLO from your Managed bookmarks (Chrome) or Favorites (IE)
  • Tick Online Resource.  This should also be ticked when linking to a YouTube video.
  • Click Link to
  • Then, in the Online Resource Link box that pops up, choose Web address (not Open URL).

Websites

  • Find the webpage
  • Click Add to My Bookmarks
  • Ensure resource type is set to Webpage
  • Check and amend metadata, ensuring that the correct web address is displayed in the Web address field and there is a suitable heading in the title field.
  • Click Create
