Update 2nd November

We are pleased to report that all work has been completed ahead of schedule meaning Adsetts library is open as usual 24/7.

Update 29th October

Adsetts library will be open overnight tonight Friday 29th October including all weekend 24/7 as usual.

We will be closed 7pm to 7am Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 1st to 3rd November to complete the work.

Adestts Library essential building work

We are currently undertaking essential building work in the Library and in order to do this with minimal disruption we’ll be closing Adsetts Library overnight for a number of days. This means that the building work will only take place when we’re closed so you won’t be disturbed during the day and we have chosen the overnight period because it is the least busy.

When is this happening?

Starting on Monday 25th October,  Adsetts Library will close at 7pm each night and will reopen at 7am the next day. Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st October Adsetts Library will be open 24/7 as normal. We appreciate this isn’t ideal but this will enable us to carry out the work quicker and it also means that when we are open no building work will be taking place.

How long will this take?

This work will take place during the week beginning 25th October, however, if timescales change we will update you.

Plan ahead

To make sure you get the most out of studying on campus we advise you to plan ahead and think about when you’ll need a Library study space. Collegiate Library remains unaffected and will operate as usual 24hrs a day. You can book library learning spaces here.

Remember you can access many library resources online. Find out more about Making the most of your library off-campus.

Alternate study spaces on campus

You can also book alternative study spaces on City Campus, find out more here.

Help and support

Library Chat is available 24hrs a day to support your learning and be can be accessed here.
