Library laptop loans are back at Adsetts Library

We’re delighted to let you know that Library laptop loans are back! They are available to borrow now, from Adsetts Library, so you can work flexibly on or off campus. We’ve listened to your feedback about Library laptops and know that you’ve missed being able to borrow them.

Since the laptops have been out of action, the day loans have had a bit of a refresh and have been upgraded to Windows 10, and we have new laptops in the week loan locker for you.

Important things to know if you want to borrow a laptop:

• We have day loan laptops (level 4 of Adsetts Library, in lockers next to the book returns area) and Week Loan Laptops (In the locker by the lift in the level 4 Cafe) 
• You need your SHUcard to borrow and return a laptop.
• If you borrow a day loan laptop it will always be due back the following day before midnight, it doesn’t matter what time you borrow it. 
• Week loan laptops will be due back 7 days from when you borrowed it.
• Laptops need to be returned to the same campus, locker, and bay they were borrowed on
• If you are borrowing over the Christmas period, you’ll be able to keep a laptop longer - please check My Library Account for details.
• You can take the laptops home with you, just make sure you log in whilst you’re still on-campus - this will ensure it works for you when you’re off-campus. Remember to take the laptop charger with you from the locker bay.
