Looking for a literary break in the library?

by Carl Lomax on 2021-07-21T11:34:00+01:00 in Library | Comments

We’re really excited to tell you about our new short story dispensers!

You can find them on level 4 in Adsetts Library (near the exit) and there’s another near the Hallam Central Café Pod on level 6 of Owen.

They are free to use. All you have to do is choose whether you’d like a 1, 3, or 5 minute story to read and it will immediately print it our for you.

So if you’re working in the library and fancy a short break, have a look for our short story dispensers….

As well as providing us with short stories, they offer exciting opportunities for any budding creative writers - there will be opportunities to participate in writing competitions. One of our Hallam students has already been a juried 1st runner up in one of the poetry competitions! (Congratulations Chelsea Stockham, a Creative Writing student –  https://short-edition.com/en/contest/longstoryshortaward-fall-2020/winners )

Watch this space for future ways to get involved with this.
