Did you know?

Reading has been proven beneficial for your mental wellbeing. When you read, as well as learning facts, you also learn about other people and cultures, their views and values. So, reading promotes empathy, as well as educating (Reading Agency, 2021).

Collaborating with Student Wellbeing

Working with the Student Wellbeing Service, we have curated a reading list of resources covering different aspects of Wellbeing. The list is designed to give you a starting point with links to articles from the Student Wellbeing Service with support recommendations and books available at Hallam Library to support your reading.

Here are a few examples of the topics the list covers:

  • Mental Wellbeing
  • Self Help from the NHS
  • Books on Prescription in the Library

There are 276 resources listed for you to take a look at and may of them are available online.

Taking time for yourself is essential in your busy life, so why not take a little time out for reading? Reading for Wellbeing. Hallam Library – helping you find space for you in these busy times!
