Welcome to Wellbeing Wednesday in the Library!
Each Wednesday, we will be blogging about different aspects of wellbeing and connecting you with books or web-based information to help support your wellbeing. This week O is for online courses within Togetherall.

What is Togetherall?
Togetherall is a safe, online community where people support each other anonymously to improve mental health and wellbeing. The university funds free access for all staff and students.  You will see Togetherall resources recommended and linked throughout the Student Wellbeing webpages.

In order to get the most from the support available Student Wellbeing recommends that you register with Togetherall. The process is quick and you only need to do it once. You can find out all about Togetherall at: https://www.shu.ac.uk/wellbeing/register-for-support/togetherall including how to register.

The resource has lots of options for support including online courses. Take a look here to find out more about the range! From improving your sleep to coping with grief and loss to assertiveness training.

You can also tap into the following

  • Online Community: A safe space, where people provide peer-to-peer emotional support, help and guidance. All posts are moderated by Togetherall guides.
  • Self assessments: These short questionnaires offer a way to capture how you are feeling and gauge your development over time.
  • Articles: Our series of articles are designed to help you understand more about some of the issues you may be facing and learn skills to help improve your wellbeing.

Each of us may prefer to get support in different ways. Reading or researching around an issue, connecting with a group whether it be in person on online or speaking on a one to basis with a trusted ally.  This week we have focused on an online resource but you can still access support in person and you can contact Student Wellbeing at: https://www.shu.ac.uk/wellbeing/whats-on-in-wellbeing

Our wellbeing levels can differ at different times and it is OK to ask for support
