2 students and a tutor working a document together What are Feedback Seminars?

In these collaborative sessions you will share a sample of your work in progress and gain practical tips and advice from two other students and an Academic Skills Advisor. By acting on feedback provided, you can polish your work, and take it to the next level. We are offering two different sessions – one on writing and one on presentation skills. In the sessions you will have up to 15 minutes to share a small piece of your work or deliver your presentation and receive feedback.

  • In the writing sessions you view and discuss extracts from other students’ work and in doing so broaden your understanding of academic writing and develop your skills.
  • In the presentation skills sessions you rehearse delivering a presentation, receive constructive feedback and take away suggestions on how to improve your presentation and public speaking.

These small sessions offer a safe space to discuss your work and practise giving and receiving feedback. Why not give one a try! Sessions take place at City Campus, Collegiate Campus and online. To book on visit the Skills Centre What's on Guide.
