What is "Cite while you write"?

"Cite while you write" is an Add-in for Microsoft Word which enables you to easily insert citations from your EndNote Library into your document.  You can also edit the citations and create bibliographies.

How to access "Cite while you write"

Using "Cite while you write" with EndNote Desktop

If you have EndNote Desktop installed on your computer, "Cite while you write" will be automatically installed in Microsoft Word.  This will display as an "EndNote" tab.

Using "Cite while you write" with EndNote Online

If you do not have EndNote Desktop installed on your computer (for example your home computer), but you do use EndNote Online, then you can download "Cite while you write" from within EndNote Online.
