Library Online: COVID updates

Document Supply Services available again

by Lizzie Seals on 2021-07-26T11:25:20+01:00 in COVID updates | Comments

We're pleased to let you know that the library is now able to offer print Document Supply Services again after we had to suspend this service due to the pandemic.

You can make requests for books that we don't have in the library and we will do our best to borrow these on your behalf from other academic libraries.

If you're familiar with the Document Supply Service a few things have changed, or if it's new to you, here's what you need to know:

  • Collecting your requests in now self-service. You no longer need to visit the Hallam Help point to collect your requests. Instead these will be available to collect from the Library Requests areas.
  • Your document supply loans will be in a brown paper bag and filed under your surname - you do not need to borrow these from the self-service machines as they will already be on your account.
  • You can return your document supply loans using the returns machines at both libraries.
  • Please be aware that there may be delays in supply times currently, as this is a reciprocal service and is dependent on other libraries resuming their services to supply and fulfil requests.

To make your requests use the DSS request form on this page.
