Skills Centre What's On

Topic introduction

March 2021 is Dissertation Month at Hallam Library!

We're running extra sessions to support students while working on their dissertations, as well as virtual drop-ins and 1-1 appointments where you can speak to an expert and get advice on your work.

Browse the options below to find the next sessions coming up for this topic, or check information about session types or our workshop descriptions for all the topics, or how to sign up for UniHub, or find Skills Centre classrooms.

If you can't make our live online sessions, you can also now login to access a selection of recorded presentations from the Skills Centre or visit our online study guide for more information and downloadable worksheets to help plan and write your dissertation.

Remote 1-1s

Please note: As demand for 1-1 appointments is currently high, we recommend coming along to a virtual drop-in session if you have questions to ask our academic skills advisors. No need to book - just drop-in on Wednesdays from 4-6pm for a 15 minute 1-1 with an academic skills advisor, librarian, digital skills expert, or Maths and Stats advisor.

Follow the link to join the drop-in: http://bit.ly/library-dropin

30 minute bookable 1-1s with an Academic Skills Adviser.  Some advisers offer both telephone appointments and online appointments, so you can choose when booking.  This list displays the next available 1-1s - you can find more sessions and up-to-date availability in UniHub.
