Support from library services during the August Bank Holiday

Whether you are in Sheffield or elsewhere, the library is here to support you during the August Bank Holiday.

Key points:

  • The libraries are open 24/7

  • If you want to study in the library, you can book your learning space in advance

  • Access many resources online wherever you are, including ebooks, with Library Online

Using the library over the Easter break

  • Adsetts and Collegiate libraries are open 24/7 with security staff on duty at all times

  • Please remember your SHUcard to enter the library

  • Book your learning spaces in advance to guarantee your favourite space

  • Library cafés will be closed, but there are vending machines, access to hot water and a microwave, and space to eat your own food

Borrowing from the library 

  • Self-service borrowing is available in both libraries

  • Laptop loans available at Adsetts and Collegiate libraries

Making the most of your library off-campus

Library Skills Centre

  • Closed Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th August

  • You can watch recordings of skills workshops on-demand and access online resources to develop your academic writing, exam revision strategies, referencing and research skills during this time

  • Skills Centre 24/7 writing feedback service online via Studiosity
