English and Creative Writing

What are reading lists?

Most reading lists for English are on the University's Reading List Online system. This gives you a single point of access to items on your lists including:

  • information about books’ availability;
  • links to our online resources, including e-books and journal articles;
  • scanned extracts of key readings.

You can find links to your lists on the homepage of your Blackboard module site, alternatively you can search for list on Reading Lists Online.

The reading list acts as a starting point to develop your subject knowledge but this can be expanded by using other search options and techniques mentioned in the Researching your topic section.
