Welcome to Sheffield Hallam University.
Sheffield Hallam was established in 1843 and awarded university status in 1992.
We have more than 35,000 students and we are the fourth largest university in the UK.
Our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Chris Husbands, is an academic expert in education policy and practice.
Our Chancellor, Lord Robert Winston, is an eminent medical scientist and broadcaster.
We have 27000 undergraduate students, 8000 postgraduate taught students, 403 postgraduate research students, and our student body includes 4343 international students from 100 countries.

Our Faculty of Arts, Computing, Engineering and Science offers subjects including art and design, computing, engineering, and media and communications.

Our Faculty of Health and Wellbeing, which includes the Academy of Sport and Physical Activity, offers subjects including biosciences and chemistry, health and allied services, physiotherapy, social work, and sport.
Sheffield Business School offers subjects including business and management, conference events, finance, food and nutrition, and hospitality and tourism.
