Where to find books in Adsetts Library

The languages collection can be found on level 3 in Adsetts Library. There is a section for German which contains language learning books and CDs, dictionaries and some books about the history, politics and culture of Germany.

Browse the latest German magazines and journals

The following print journals are available in the level 3 languages collection in Adsetts Library.

BrowZine is the catalogue of the electronic journals that the Hallam Library has access to. You can browse through the catalogue by subject area or search for a particular title. You can keep up to date with your favourite academic journals by downloading the BrowZine app to your mobile devise and saving your top journals. Each time a new issue of that journal is published, you will be alerted to the new content. More information about BrowZine, and how to access the resources can be found here.

If there is an important journal article that does not seem to be available through these resources, our Document Supply Service may be able to get a copy for you.

Online newspapers via Nexis

You can access many foreign newspapers electronically by using the database Nexis. You can access Nexis via the  A-Z List of Databases on the Library Gateway.

Nexis provides online access to a huge range of national and regional newspapers for Germany, including:

  • Die Welt
  • Die Zeit
  • Der Spiegel
  • Taz, die tageszeitung
