The workshops will provide a general introduction to RLO for staff who work with the system, talking through how to log in, bookmark resources, create reading lists, and add items to lists. There will be opportunities to ask questions and report any problems as well. The content of each workshop is roughly the same but you are welcome to attend more than one if you like.

To book onto a session please email Julia King at j.c.king@shu.ac.uk.

New 'Decolonising the Reading List' workshops are also taking place in July 2024. These session will be split into two sections, each lasting 30 mins.

  • The first part is an introduction to decolonising the reading list. You will be invited to consider what decolonising the reading list means for your course,  module or subject area.
  • The second part involves getting started on the process of decolonising a reading list for a specific module that you lead or teach on. This section of the session is optional.

The workshop will be face-to-face and is for Hallam teaching staff in any academic discipline. We aim to provide a friendly and informal environment with plenty of opportunities to ask questions.

If you have any questions about the workshop, contact Emma Finney or Rachel Stone.
