Distance Learner Support Service

We can offer support for the following students:

  • Students on designated distance learning courses
  • Students referred to the service by their college
  • Students referred to the service by Disabled Student Support 
  • Students referred to the service by the Inclusive Support Team

How to find out if you are eligible to use the Distance Learner Support Service. 

This is an opt-in service. To be eligible for this service you must be one of the following:

  • a student on a designated distance learning course.
  • a student referred to the service by their college.
  • a student referred to the service by Disabled Student Support.
  • a student referred to the service by the Inclusive Support Team.

Postal loans

We can post out books requested by you to a home or work address (UK and Ireland only). Simply contact us with the details of the books you wish to borrow.

Extended borrowing periods

We offer extended borrowing periods of an initial 3 weeks, and then loans can be renewed for an additional 2 weeks.

Access to book chapters and journal articles not available online

We can supply copies of journal articles that are only in print and send them to you by email. We can also scan chapters from print books for you and send them to you by email.
