How to request a new resource to be added to the library collection

Your Library welcomes requests from students and staff for new resources not currently available in the library collection. If an item is not available through Library Search or our A-Z of databases, you can request it in one of three ways, depending on your need.

I am a member of academic staff teaching on a module(s) and I require a new resource to support this teaching.

Academic staff requests for new resources for module reading lists should be made as part of Reading Lists Online. For help on adding resources to an RLO please see the Reading List Online Guide for Academic Staff or contact your Subject Librarian.

I need an item to support my research or assignment.

Students and staff should use the Document Supply Service for individual, one-off access to specific resources. Many requests are delivered direct to your university email, often within a few hours.

I have found a resource I believe would be a valuable addition to the library collections.

If you would like to request a resource to be added to our library collection please complete the Request a new resource form.
