IATEFL is one of the most thriving communities of ELT teachers in the world.
Produces regular publications, including the magazine IATEFL Voices, an Annual International Conference, fifteen Special Interest Groups to help teachers develop their own lines of interest, links with Teachers' Associations in other countries for teachers to share knowledge and experience.
BALEAP
BALEAP supports the professional development of those involved in learning,teaching, scholarship and research in English for Academic Purposes (EAP).
Its aims are to :

enhance the quality of English for Academic Purposes (EAP) learning and teaching in institutions of further and higher education, support the professional development of those involved in learning, teaching, scholarship and research in EAP, provide an accreditation scheme for EAP courses, promote and disseminate understanding of EAP and associated research through biennial conferences and one-day professional Issues Meetings (PIMs), publication of research and conference presentations, statements of good practice such as teacher competencies and guidelines for testing.
BAAL (British Association for Applied Linguistics)
BAAL is a professional association based in the UK, which provides a forum for people interested in language and applied linguistics. We have an international professional membership of more than 800 members.
NATECLA
NATECLA is the National Association for Teaching English and Community Languages to Adults.
NALDIC: National subject association for EAL
NALDIC (National Association for Language Development in the Curriculum) is the UK’s national subject association for EAL. NALDIC provides a professional forum for the teaching and learning of English as an additional language, supporting bilingualism, raising the achievement of ethnic minority learners, and promoting the development of research, policy and practice.
