The Skills Centre closed from Wednesday 1st June until Monday 6th June, when our sessions and appointments will resume as normal. Read on to find out what support is on offer to develop your academic writing and study skills over the Jubilee Bank Holiday period.

Live sessions (as normal May 30th-31st)

Academic Skills webinars will continue throughout May, focusing on topics to help you get submission-ready for your assignment deadlines and to make progress on your research projects. These include:

  • Self-compassion for Productivity
  • Writing Up Your Research Project
  • Advanced Critical Writing

For a full list of upcoming sessions, check out our What’s On guide.

Our 30-minute 1-1 appointments are available online, over the phone or on-campus (at both Adsetts and Collegiate Libraries) – check Unihub for appointment availability. For quick questions, our online drop-in room is open every Wednesday 4-6pm (not available June 1st) – no need to book, just join the online waiting room to chat to an advisor.
