Suggestions for purchase

by Colin Knott on 2021-06-02T09:00:00+01:00 in Resources | 0 Comments

Students and staff are invited to recommend titles for the library to support learning and teaching. This can be done by completing a suggestion for purchase form.

We ask for details of the title and also the reason for the suggestion:

  • Are you recommending this resource for a particular course ?

  • Did a lecturer recommend this resource to you ?

  • If not, how did you find out about it ?

We are currently prioritising the purchase of digital resources that are on module reading lists or needed to support research, but we will consider other resources.

We cannot guarantee that we will purchase every item suggested, but we will keep you informed about what we do and do not purchase. Here are a couple of recent examples of purchases:

1. Ovenden-Hope, T., & Passy, R. (Eds.). (2021). Exploring teacher recruitment and retention contextual challenges from international perspectives  London: Routledge.

2. Botsman, R., & Rogers, R. (2010). What's mine is yours: the rise of collaborative consumption. New York: Harper Business.  (currently on order)
