Dissertation Bootcamp - Bookings open!

Master the skills needed for your undergraduate dissertation or final-year project in 4 weeks! 

Our four core bootcamp sessions will run weekly on Tuesdays 12-1pm, starting February 22nd. These will cover the essentials of dissertations: critical writing, finding literature, tackling the methodology, and writing effective discussions and conclusions.

This February and March, we have a packed programme of activities and sessions to support dissertation writing, including:

Lightning webinars – Short, 15-minute sessions that will introduce you to core research skills and data gathering techniques. Topics include: Writing Questionnaires, Recruiting Participants, Case Study or Action Research and Using Secondary Data.


Focused work sessions90-minute sessions to help clear your mind and get some focused work done - perfect for days when you might be struggling with motivation. Dates available throughout February and March.


Virtual drop-ins
- Online drop-ins with members of the library team for instant answers to quick assignment questions. Each session includes a member of staff from Academic Skills, Library & Information Skills, and Digital Skills, for 15 minute 1-1s, and there is no need to book in advance.


Our programme also includes sessions on referencing, formatting long documents in Microsoft Word, using RefWorks and feedback seminars.
