Finding literature

For general guidance on finding information sources please see our pages on finding and managing information.

You can use Library Search to find books, articles, films etc. You can search for specific items or do a wider topic search. For assistance with using Library Search visit the help pages.

Accessing literature

If you are using a specialist database to search for sources then you should look for the 'SHU links' button or a link which says something like 'Get full text.' The SHU links button will take you to a Library Search page which- if we have the item- will have links to the full text.

If you need access to a resource that the library doesn't have then you can make a document supply request.
