SHIMMER
Sheffield Hallam University's images and multi-media database. Over 31,000 images, copyright-cleared for educational use. A variety of subject areas includes art and design, built environment, tourism and leisure, and student degree shows. Search, select, enlarge and export images and their metadata; link to any page in SHIMMER from Blackboard; or create presentations to export en masse to PowerPoint and HTML.

Box of Broadcasts [BoB] - search for TV and Radio programmes.

BoB is an archive of over 2 million TV and radio broadcasts. Films are recorded from TV channels such as FilmFour. This academically-focused system allows staff and students to record programmes from over 75 free-to-air channels, and search their archive of over 2.2 million broadcasts. BoB recordings are not indexed in Library Online so you will need to search the database directly.

The first time you access BoB you will be asked to set up your own account:

go to login,
login using SHU username and password
then follow the instructions to create an account

From 31st August 2023 users will need to use BoB to access TV and audio recordings as ShuPlayer will be withdrawn.
