The health and safety of students and staff is our top priority. In line with national public health guidance regarding COVID-19, and to protect you and help stop the spread of coronavirus, Adsetts and Collegiate libraries are closed from 5pm Monday 23rd March until further notice.

Please check our dedicated online guide for more information and to find out how to make the most of your library off-campus.

If you cannot get online from home, access specialist software, or the other learning resources you need to complete assessments or prepare for examinations, please contact Hallam Help.

How to find more online resources off campus

There is a lot of work happening behind the Library scenes as we work with our suppliers and providers of online resources to make sure that you can access as many of the Library resources online for study, research and teaching as possible during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

  • All the subject guides have been updated with extra information about new collections, eBooks and online journals.
  • Some increases to online provision will have occurred almost overnight, for example, more eBooks have been listed in Library Search.
  • Plus many ebooks have been switched from single user versions into our favorite type of eBook the multi user ebook.

Below are some of the resources that you may like to take a look:

If you have not been able to access the resource that you require online, you can use this Request a Library Resource form, We will do our best to provide you with access to the resources you need or provide you with suitable alternatives.

Rest assured, if you need any help using or finding information, the Library is here to help and we will be offering online support soon. If you want to get in touch with us, please contact  us through the  Library Chat service here,  or via Hallam Help - click here for link to Hallam Help

The increase of online resources is on a temporary basis as a measure to help you study, research and teach during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Extended access to electronic resources during the initial COVID-19 lockdown

To support universities through the initial COVID-19 lockdown, a number of publishers were offering libraries free access to a range of resources, including books, journals and videos. Access began in March 2020, but that free access period for most has now expired.

If you are wanting to consult a resource that we had access to, but which has now been removed from Library Search, or is not available on your reading list, please contact us with details using the ROR  (Resources on Request) process and we will look at the possibility of purchasing the item. We are also working to identify in demand textbooks to make available electronically.

RoR has been created to facilitate your access to our extended resources, and in recognition that our normal inter library loan and document supply services are suspended.
