HotStats provides a profit and loss benchmarking service to hoteliers from the UK, Europe and the Middle East, enabling monthly comparison of hotels’ performance against their competitors. Sheffield Hallam does not have a subscription to this service, but the website offers llimited access to free reports and some data.

Produced by The University of Auckland, New Zealand , but global in coverage. It provides free statistics from official sources. Every resource is evaluated.

Offical UK Government website providing local statistics. You can type in your postcode to get a summary report for your local area.
UK Local Council websites
may include local statistics, economic plans etc.
Yell.com
You can use this free online directory to search for businesses in a particular town or city.
