Company Information

Company Information refers to reported information about companies including:

  • Company accounts
  • Financial statements
  • Registered addresses
  • Legal forms of companies
  • Directors' details
  • SIC codes
  • Share prices

Due to legal reporting requirements in most countries, you will be able to find out more information about publicly listed companies than private limited companies, and even less about sole traders.

Private Company Information

If a company is not listed on a stock exchange (i.e. a private company), it can be more difficult to find information about it because it is not legally required to disclose as much financial information as publicly listed companies are.  Hallam Library Services does provide access to several databases with good coverage of private companies.

Using Company Information

  • You can use this data for coursework, projects and when looking for a job.
  • Information taken from Hallam Library databases must not be used for commercial purposes, including for university placements.
