Making the most of your Library off-campus

SCONUL Access scheme: Information for Hallam staff and students

If you live closer to another university, you might benefit from using the SCONUL Access scheme. The SCONUL Access scheme allows Hallam staff and students to register for membership of other university libraries. In some cases, you may be able to borrow or use books and journals from the other university's collections.

Please note that some libraries are not currently participating in the scheme. This may include libraries you have visited before. You should check the website of the library you want to visit for information on their registration process. You may also want to check their opening hours and other local conditions in advance of your visit.

Collaborative partner students cannot apply for SCONUL Access through SHU. You should check with your home library to see if you are eligible to apply through them.

For more information and to apply for SCONUL Access, please visit the SCONUL Access website
